$300,000 for Nicconi Colt

 In 2013

New Zealand – Our exciting young sire Nicconi kicked a massive goal during the first session of the 2013 NZB Premier Yearling Sale on Monday when his colt from Fantasy World sold for $300,000.

A strongly built brown colt, very much in the mould of his sire, the youngster was consigned by Jamieson Park and knocked down to astute Victorian trainer Danny O’Brien.

A half-brother to two winners, he is the fourth foal of Zabeel mare Fantasy World, who is a half-sister to stakes-winners Latin Quarter and Elected tracing back to influential mare Derna, whose descendants include Group I winning sires Zabeel and Carnegie (IRE).

The result was an outstanding one for Jamieson Park as they purchased his dam Fantasy World in foal to Nicconi at the 2011 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $25,000.

The colt is the lone Nicconi to be offered in the Premier Sale with two more to follow in the Select Sale later in the week, both of them to be offered by Jamieson Park.
