Bisutti Sizzles on Debut

 In 2014

Exciting Northern Meteor filly Bisutti sizzled on debut at Wyong on Thursday.

With no recent barrier trials, the Bjorn Baker trained filly was friendless in the betting for the 1000 metre three year-old fillies maiden, but turned in an eye-catching performance to win with authority.

She stormed clear over the concluding stages to win by two lengths in 57.48 seconds which was class record time.

Bisutti was bred and offered for sale by Widden Stud at Inglis Premier, but failed to ignite any interest with buyers and was passed in shy of her modest $30,000 reserve.

Retained by Antony Thompson and given to Bjorn Baker, Bisutti looks to have above average ability and a bright future.

Bisutti is the first winner for minor winner Lamiraqui, a three-quarter sister-in-blood by Choisir to Group I winner Choice Bro from the family of slick stakes-winners such as Immortality and Cargo Cult.

Lamiraqui has a yearling filly by Stratum and a colt foal by Star Witness.

Widden Stud will offer a terrific draft of 16 youngsters at the 2014 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
