Debut Winner for Star Witness

 In 2015

The Champion Two and Three Year Old Colt of his generation, Star Witness is the leading Australian Second Season Sire by winners and added another to the tally when Startacular scored on debut at Geelong on Wednesday as favourite.

Trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, Startacular enjoyed a good run in transit from gate two and surged to the line for Luke Currie to win the 1221 metre maiden by a long neck.

Startacular was not offered at auction and runs for a partnership of owners that includes her breeder.

She is the second winner for Spurtacular Lass, a half-sister by Flying Spur to Group III winner Dances on Stars from the family of Group I winners Miss Margaret and Dreamaway.

Startacular is the 22nd winner this season for Star Witness, whose progeny have leapt into overdrive this year.

The Blue Diamond and Coolmore Stud Stakes winner has a big draft for Magic Millions with 19 lots on offer, click here to see them.
