Fourth Winner for Northern Meteor

 In 2013

Melbourne- The familiar colours of Teeley Assets were carried to victory at Moonee Valley on Friday night by promising Northern Meteor filly Mount Zero, who dominated her rivals to win as a short priced favourite.

The David Hayes trained filly had been thereabouts in three previous runs, most recently when fourth to Miracles of Life in the Listed MRC Blue Diamond Preview and her superior fitness and race experience stood her in good stead.

She began brilliantly from barrier one for Nick Hall and led throughout before kicking clear  to win the 1000 metre dash by a length and three-quarters.

“She’s chased a couple of the fancied horses for the Blue Diamond, so you’d like to see her win here,” said stable representative Bruno Rouge-Serrett.

“She used the inside barrier to her advantage and kicked strongly off the bend.

“David (Hayes) has a Listed race at Flemington picked out for her next run.”

A homebred for Teeley Assets, who have bred and raced Group I stars such as Redoute’s Choice, Platinum Scissors, Manhattan Rain and current star Miracles of Life, Mount Zero is the first winner for stakes-winning Royal Academy (USA) mare Beauty School.

Mount Zero is the fourth winner for record breaking sprinter Northern Meteor, who has 15 entries for the 2013 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
