Group One Second for Sebring Colt

 In 2013

Talented Sebring three year-old Criterion was one of the best colts of his generation last season at two winning the Group II ATC Todman Stakes and has gone right on with it this spring finishing a gallant second in the Group I ATC Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.

Prepared by David Payne, Criterion indicated he was close to his top last start with a short neck second in the Group II ATC Stan Fox Stakes over 1400 metres and acquitted himself well at his first attempt at 2000 metres.

Criterion settled back in the field for Brenton Avdulla and found the line strongly to beat all but the winner Complacent in going down by a little over a length.

He seems certain to head to Melbourne and is entered for the Group I VRC Victoria Derby.
