Melbourne – Our promising young sire Northern Meteor made a big splash at the 2013 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale with a stunning colt from Jollity (GB) selling for $240,000.
Consigned by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds as agent for Gilgai Farm, the colt was snapped up by Japanese based buyer S Morinaka and is the second foal of his imported dam, who comes from the family of champion sire Kingmambo.
Golden Slipper winner Sebring achieved his best result with a colt from Lady Succeed (Jpn) fetching $190,000 for Three Bridges Thoroughbreds as agent for Gilgai Farm when knocked down to astute trainer Mick Kent.
Proven Group 1 producing sire Stratum averaged a pleasing $98,750 at this sale, his top seller a colt from Sister Declan that made $140,000 for Flinders Park Stud when snaffled by Glenhuntly Lodge.
Our first season sire Nicconi again achieved strong results with nine youngsters averaging $53,889, his highlight horse a colt from Citiscene that made $85,000 for Musk Creek Farm when purchased by Anthony Freedman/ Michael Wallace Bloodstock.
