Juvenile Winners for Star Witness and Sebring

 In 2017

Star Witness filly She’s Our Star scored a commanding victory at Doomben on Saturday to give her trainer Tony Gollan his 100th winner of the season.

Consistent in recent runs in stakes company, She’s Our Star bolted clear to win the 1050 metre scamper by three lengths.

A $60,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft for  Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock/CB Bloodstock, She’s Our Star has the overall record of two wins and three placings from six starts with prizemoney now topping $93,000.

Bred by Widden Stud in partnership, She’s Our Star is the best of four winners from Sheeznodoubt, a speedy winning daughter of Not a Single Doubt.

Widden Stud sold the current yearling from Sheeznodoubt, a filly by Your Song, at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale for $120,000 to Spicer Thoroughbreds.

Sebring also chimed in with an eye-catching debut winner at Kembla with the Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt Assimilate scoring in the China Horse Club colours.

A $420,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Edinburgh Park draft, Assimilate runs for a syndicate that also includes Newgate Farm, Aquis Farm, Horse Ventures and WinStar Farm.

He is the second winner for stakes-winning Commands mare Jester’s Girl, whose Zoustar yearling filly sold for Edinburgh Park at Magic Millions this year for $260,000 to Paul Moroney Bloodstock.
