Mare in Foal to Sebring Tops Inglis Broodmare Opener

 In 2014

Top lot during the first session of the 2014 Inglis Australian Select Broodmare Sale on Monday was Crafty Irna, who fetched $610,000 to the bid of Inglis as agent and was in foal to Sebring in her first season at stud.

A Group III winning daughter of Starcraft, Crafty Irna is completely free of Danzig blood and comes from a proven Black Type family so made huge appeal in foal to one of the hottest young sires in the country.

Also popular were Group III winner Cute Emily in foal to Sebring in her first season at stud and bought by Belmont Bloodstock for $340,000 and young stakes-winning Commands mare Jester’s Girl, bought by astute judge Ian Smith of Edinburgh Park for $310,000, she too in foal to Sebring in her second season at stud.
