Northern Meteor Loss Highlighted

 In 2014

The tragic loss of Northern Meteor was highlighted again at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale where his progeny sold for up to $525,000 and averaged $228,750 with 16 of them selling in sessions one to four.

Setting a new benchmark for his ill-fated sire was a stunning colt from Group II placed Anabaa (USA) mare Ms Bowie that made $525,000 for Musk Creek Farm when bought by Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock.

The colt was a very successful pinhook having been bought by Musk Creek for $110,000 at the MM National Weanling Sale from Attunga Stud.

Next best for Northern Meteor was a colt from Lung Tah consigned by Widden Stud and bought by DGR Thoroughbreds for $375,000.

The final crop of Northern Meteor foals will be offered at sales next year.
