Star Witness Winner in South Africa

 In 2016

Star Witness has been riding the crest of a wining wave and added a new South African winner to his tally with an impressive win at Vaal on Thursday for three year-old filly Star of Caesour.

The Sean Tarry trained filly broke through to win over 2000 metres beating older horses to win by more than four lengths.

A $55,000 Magic Millions purchase for Michael Leaf from the Widden Stud draft, Star of Caesour is the first foal of Rock of Gibraltar (IRE) mare Caesour’s Promise, a daughter of South African bred dual Group I winner Perfect Promise, who raced with Group I success in Australia.

Perfect Promise is a full sister to Champion South African 3YO Filly Irridescence, so it’s hardly surprising Star of Caesour was snapped up to race in South Africa.
