Stratum Filly Wins Again in South Africa

Golden Slipper winner Stratum featured with a smart winner in South Africa on Saturday when three year-old filly Rock the System posted her fourth victory at Turffontein.

The Paul Matchett trained filly took on older mares to win the 1160 metre sprint by a long neck.

Rock the System was a $42,000 purchase for Worldwide Bloodstock from the Reavill Farm draft at the 2010 MM National Yearling Sale and is a half-sister to Group III winner A Country Girl from stakes-winner Verdict Declared, a full sister to Group I winner Mr Innocent.

Rock the System is one of four winners from five runners for Stratum in South Africa.

With his oldest progeny about to turn five, Stratum is the sire of more than 150 winners worldwide of $13.2 million in prizemoney, his winners coming in a wide variety of countries outside of Australia and New Zealand.

Stratum has sired winners in Hong Kong, South Africa, Singapore, U.A.E., Korea and Macau.
