Gold Coast – The first yearlings by Dual Group I winning sprinter Nicconi made an impressive sale ring debut at the Gold Coast at Magic Millions selling for up to $200,000.
Top seller for Nicconi was a stylish chestnut colt from Murphy’s Arch that was consigned by Southern Cross Breeders.
He was snaffled by Ultra Thoroughbreds for $200,000 and is a half-brother to brilliant Group III winning juvenile Murphy’s Blue Boy.
Also selling well for Nicconi were fillies from Defrere’s Venture (USA) and Mizzle (USA) that fetched $180,000 and $175,000 respectively.
In total, Nicconi had 17 yearlings average $97,941, representing some four and a half times his 2010 service fee of $22,000.
