Widden Stud enjoyed great results at the 2020 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale selling 28 yearlings in Book 1 for $1,834,000.

Our top seller was a Star Witness filly from Group III winner Valentine Miss that went to John Foote Bloodstock / Tony Gollan Racing for $165,000 followed by a Zoustar colt from Dare to Dance that was bought by Gary Moore Racing for $150,000.

Nicconi had a particularly strong sale with 11 yearlings averaging $108,909 with his top seller a cracking colt from Poison Ivy that made $370,000 for Newhaven Park when bought by Andrew Noblet Racing.

Our first season sire Stratum Star again enjoyed a strong showing with four yearlings averaging $62,000, his best result a filly from Diamond Player that made $235,000 for Byerley Stud when bought by Laurel Oak Bloodstock.

For a stallion standing at a fee of $11,000, Stratum Star is delivering plenty of bang for buck!

Next on the agenda for Widden stud is the 2020 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale and you can see our draft here.

Congratulations to all Classic purchasers and we wish everyone the best of luck going forward
