Group II winning Not a Single Doubt mare Summer Sham is wedded to Zoustar at Widden Stud and her yearling colt sold for $1.55million at Inglis Easter on Monday with the full brother to stakes-winner Schwarz purchased by China Horse Club/Newgate/Go Bloodstock/Trilogy.

“He was a very special colt, very fast by Zoustar who is flying. His full[1]brother is a good horse and he is a beautiful colt,” said Henry Field of Newgate Farm.

“If he can run, he’ll make a beautiful stallion, so I am really pleased to get that horse,

“He’s come off a great farm at Widden and the partnership, China Horse Club, Trilogy, Go Bloodstock and the team, are excited.”

The star colt is the third foal in a row for Summer Sham by Zoustar and the previous two sold for $1.25million and $800,000, so it’s proving a most profitable and successful liaison.

She produced another colt by Zoustar last spring and is back in foal to him again.

Her three year-old colt Schwarz was bought by the Rosemont Stud / Victorian Stallion Alliance and has looked good winning two of four starts for the John O’Shea stable and holds an entry for the $2million Group II ATC Arrowfield Sprint this Saturday.

Zoustar had a fourth individual million dollar yearling of the sale when the Coolmore consigned colt from Atlantic Emerald (IRE) sold for $1million to Hong Kong based buyers Huang Kai Wen / Bridle Bloodstock.

The colt is the first foal of an unraced Galileo full sister to triple Group I winner Russian Emperor and daughter of Champion Australian 3YO Filly Atlantic Jewel.

Zoustar finished with 27 yearlings averaging $693,333 and was the leading sire by aggregate with an overall total of $18,720,000.

Widden Stud sold 30 yearlings for $15.1million to be third on the leading vendors by aggregate list.
