Widden Stud acted as vendor and purchaser for Group winning mare Humma Humma, who made $1million at the Magic Millions National Sale on Tuesday.

Humma Humma was trained throughout her career by John McArdle and was a fast and consistent sprinter winning at two and training on to win six races and place 10 times earning over $650,000 in prizemoney.

A half-sister to this season’s two year-old stakes-winner Tycoon Humma, she is free of Danehill blood with a double cross of Vain making her a very easy mare to mate.

An $80,000 Inglis Premier purchase originally for Redgum Racing, Humma Humma has been a sensational success on every level for her ownership group which included Widden Stud’s Antony Thompson

“We have been involved in the ownership and racing her with John McArdle. It’s been a great ride and we know how good she is as we are very close to her,” Thompson told ANZ Bloodstock News.

“So it was an honour to be able to sell her on behalf of the owners and I am even more thrilled to be able to buy her.”

“She’s a complete outcross. I love the fact she is in-bred to Vain, like Black Caviar, and of course Vain is very dear to us at Widden, having stood there.

“Honestly, when you look at her, she just suits so many stallions. Zoustar is front of mind but she can go to Trapeze Artist, or any of that line.”

Widden Stud also offered Group II winner Greysful Glamour on behalf of her Darby Racing owners and the stunning grey daughter of Stratum was a sale ring star selling for $1.5 million to  the Written Tycoon Syndicate.
