The first yearlings for Trapeze Artist were in strong demand during the second session of the Magic Millions Yearling Sale with a colt from Natchwali fetching $600,000 for Widden Stud.

The dashing grey colt was bred by Bert Vieira who also bred and raced his sire and was bought by Gerald Ryan & Alexiou Racing Pty Ltd.

Gerald Ryan trained Trapeze Artist to win four Group I races and over $5.5million in prizemoney, so he will be looking forward to training the first of his progeny.

The colt is the second foal of Natchwhali, a winning half-sister by O’Reilly to Group winners Oceanex, Amexed and Miss Aotearoa.

Natchwhali has another filly to follow by Trapeze Artist and was covered by him again last spring.

Gerald Ryan also paid $325,000 for a Trapeze Artist colt from Our Gilda offered by Willow Park Stud.
