$7million in Inglis Easter Sales for Widden

 In 2017

The 2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale produced red hot results with Widden Stud selling 23 yearlings for $7.36 million during the three days of trade.

CIAVxstreetcarstella_500Our top seller was an I Am Invincible colt from Streetcar Stella that made $1.5 million when bought by Aquis Farm / Blue Sky Bloodstock.

A powerful bay colt typical of his sire, he is the fourth foal of Streetcar Stella, a half-sister to Group III winner Streetcar Magic and stakes-winner Streetcar Isabelle.

She was bought for $125,000 by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock at the 2015 Inglis Great Southern Sale in foal to I Am Invincible.

“I Am Invincible’s have sold really well all year, particularly his colts, and that was a great example. A mare that was bought for $125,000 when she was carrying that colt and he goes for that price tag. So that’s a terrific windfall,” Antony Thompson told ANZ Bloodstock News.

“It’s a fantastic result. It’s a great way for Widden to celebrate the final day at Inglis and the 150 years of both Widden and Inglis, to go out in such style and with such a magnificent horse, it’s great.”

Streetcar Stella has a Star Witness weanling filly and is back in foal to him again.
