Winning Return for Blueblood Zoustar Filly
The Chris Waller trained Zoustar three year-old filly Beside the Ocean had two starts last prep for a second and a win back in July and August before heading for a good spell and returned to win at Randwick on Boxing Day.
Resuming in the Benchmark 64 event over 1000m at Randwick on Boxing Day, Beside the Ocean was sent off as favourite with Jason Collett in the saddle following two recent trials to have the diminutive filly fit and ready to go.
She settled off the pace and took a while to wind up when clear, but she hit the line hard to snatch a last stride win.

Beside the Ocean was bought for $250,000 at Inglis Easter by Cunningham Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd / Clarke Bloodstock from the Vinery Stud draft and runs for the Cunningham owned enterprise Ridgmont.
Bred by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, she is a half-sister to Champion 2YO Colt and now leading young sire Farnan and Group placed stakes-winner Sandbar being the fifth winner from five foals to race from Group III winning Street Cry (IRE) mare Tallow.
Tallow has a yearling filly by Zoustar that will be offered by Vinery at Magic Millions as Lot 887.
