Widden Classic Bargain Wins on Debut
Darby Racing paid just $10,000 to secure Yankee Rose from the Widden Stud draft at the 2015 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and got an immediate return when she scored on debut at Rosehill on Saturday.
Unfancied by punters, the David Vandyke trained filly flew home to win the 1100 metre dash by half a neck collecting nearly $70,000 in prizemoney for her delighted group of owners.
By All American from Condesaar, Yankee Rose will be in line for all the rich Inglis incentive races in coming months, so might prove a very profitable investment!
