Zousain Filly Sells for $320,000
Zousain had some lovely weanlings on offer at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale this week with Fairhill Farm well rewarded for their filly from top producer Jolie Brise that sold for $320,000.
A half-sister to Group III winner Napoleonic and stakes-winner Ready Set Sail, the filly was bought by Stefan Pardi’s SP Thoroughbreds, so will no doubt reappear at an elite yearling sale next year.
Fairhill Farm bought Jolie Brise from the Widden draft at the MM National Broodmare Sale in 2023 for $40,000 and have had some good results with the mare, who has been a great producer with seven foals to race all winners.
The first foal they bred from her was a Zousain filly that sold for $160,000 at the Inglis Weanling Sale in 2024 and was pinhooked by Cannon Hayes Stud into Inglis Easter in 2025 and sold for $200,000.
Zousain had further good results at this year’s weanling sale with a colt from Zafina making $170,000 for Little Wych, a filly from Fatal Rendezvous making $160,000 for Fairhill Farm and a colt from Benella fetching $130,000 from Alma Vale Thoroughbreds.
Zousain had nine weanlings in total sell at an average $125,000, a terrific result for a stallion that is priced this spring at $22,000.
