First Winner for Tickets
Our young Redoute’s Choice sire Tickets broke the ice with his first winner at Newcastle on Saturday when Unsinkable got the cash at his second start.
Prepared by Gary Nickson, Unsinkable improved on his debut fourth at Gosford last month to post a half-length victory in the 1200 metre maiden.
Unsinkable was initially passed in and later sold for $10,000 at the Inglis Classic Summer Book Sale where he was consigned for sale by Holbrook Thoroughbreds.
He is the first winner for minor winning Orpen (USA) mare Orphrey, who comes from the family of stakes-winner Flawed Logic.
A Group II winning son of Redoute’s Choice, Tickets is a half-brother to Group I winning sires Duporth and Excites.
