More Sebring Success for Kent

Mick Kent has had plenty of success with the progeny of Sebring having trained Scratchy Bottom and current rising sprint star Supido and the Golden Slipper winning sire provided him with the first winner on the card at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

He broke his maiden at Sale at his second run back from a spell and easily measured up to metropolitan grade when taking out this Benchmark 64 event over 1514 metres by half a length with a widening five lengths back to the third horse.

A $185,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Dermot Farrington Bloodstock from the Widden Stud draft, Hattori Hanzo runs for an ownership group that includes Grandlodge Racing and Gilgai Farm.

With two wins and a third from just five starts, Hattori Hanzo is headed onwards and upwards.

A half-brother to Group III winner Amorino, Hattori Hanzo is the sixth winner for Steal My Love, a half-sister to multiple Group I winner Danendri, the grand-dam of Champion 3YO Filly Faint Perfume.

Widden Stud will offer the current yearling from Steal My Love, a colt by Your Song, as Lot 571 at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
