Sebring Filly Tops MM Book Two
Demand for the progeny of Golden Slipper winning sire Sebring was strong at the 2016 Magic Millions Yearling Sale in Book One and flowed through to Book Two where his filly from Allow sold for $230,000 to share top honours on Sunday.
Consigned for sale by Newhaven Park, the filly (pictured) from Group I Queensland Oaks winner Allow was bought by Ricky Surace’s B2B Bloodstock.
Newhaven Park would be delighted with the result as Allow produced a colt foal last spring also by Sebring.
Sebring had 40 yearlings sell in Book One at an average $188,375, his top seller a lovely filly from young stakes-winning Exceed and Excel mare Hooness that made $500,000 for Segenhoe Stud when secured by Yu Long Investments (Australia) Pty Ltd/Sheamus Mills Bloodstock.
His progeny were bought by some of the most influential buyers in the world with a Burnewang North consigned filly from Metonymy selling to US based Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings for $470,000 and a Widden Stud consigned colt from Fast Talker going to the China Horse Club for $460,000.
James Harron Bloodstock bought a Sebring colt from Dorf Command offered by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds for $410,000, Little Kwok Hing Hung/Bahen Bloodstock bought a Sebring colt from Chordata from Newgate Farm for $400,000 and Star Thoroughbreds bought a Sebring colt from Valentine Miss for $300,000 from Widden Stud.
Sebring was also the leading sire by average in Book Two with three yearlings averaging $163,333 headed by his Allow filly that shared top billing on Sunday.
