Sebring Winner for Stonestreet
US based Stonestreet Stables outlaid $470,000 at the Magic Millions Sale last year to secure stunning Sebring filly Seaglass from the Burnewang North draft and she opened her account at Canterbury on Wednesday.
Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Seaglass was slowly away when fifth on debut at Randwick last month, but made amends this time around.
She found the line strongly for Hugh Bowman to win the 1200 metre maiden by a long neck as favourite.
Bred by Cathy Hains at Burnewang North, Seaglass is the first winner for Group III placed Metonomy and was the second most expensive yearling by her sire sold at the Gold Coast in 2016.
Burnewang North sold an I Am Invincible colt from Metonomy at the Gold Coast this year for $220,000 to Mick Price Racing /Luke Wilkinson.
Seaglass is the 12th two year-old winner this season for Sebring, who sired a Group I double at the weekend and stands at a fee of $66,000.
