50th Winner for Stratum
November 4 – On a busy weekend of racing our leading young sire Stratum passed a small milestone in posting his 50th Australian winner of the season.
The Mick Price trained four year-old gelding Meritorious brought up winner number 50 when he saluted at Traralgon on Saturday taking his overall record to three wins from 12 starts with prizemoney in excess of $40,000.
Stratum has been running hot this year and is second only to Lonhro on the leading sires by Australian winners list, the latter tallying up 55 winners from 168 runners, while Stratum’s 50 have come from just 129 runners.
