Perth Stakes-Winner for Snippetson
Perth – Promising Snippetson three year-old Rebelson looks set for a good summer carnival in Perth after capturing the Listed WATC Fairetha Stakes at Ascot in Perth on Saturday.
The Darren McAuliffe trained gelding settled midfield and accelerated away at the finish to win the 1400 metre contest by a length and three-quarters.
Retained to race by his breeders, Rebelson has the overall record of foru wins from eight starts with prizemoney of $118,950 and will be aimed towards the Group II WATC Guineas on November 24.
Rebelson is the first foal of unraced Falbrav (IRE) mare Rebel Sister, whose dam Sister Theresa is a half-sister to multiple Group I winner Savannah Success, the dam of Cox Plate winner and successful sire Savabeel.
Rebelson is the fifth stakes-winner for Snippetson, who stands at a fee of $11,000
