Impressive Win for Golden Sunshine
Sydney – Talented filly Golden Sunshine made it two wins in as many starts when she led throughout to score at Warwick Farm on Saturday.
The Rick Worthington trained daughter of Danzero looked super impressive when bolting in on debut at Wyong last month and made a swift transition from a maiden win to Saturday class when repeating the dose in this 1100 Benchmark 75 event for fillies.
She showed abundant speed to lead from barrier two and coasted home to win by a length and a quarter as a short priced favourite.
A $65,000 purchase for her trainer from the Widden draft at the 2011 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Golden Sunshine was bred by Grant Briscoe and is bred to go fast being the first winner from Cloudwing, a daughter of former brilliant stakes-winning filly Cloudlet from the family of Magic Millions winner Zephyrz and Group II winning sprinter Athelnoth.
Cloudwing has already foaled this spring producing a handsome bay colt by Stratum on August 28.
