Sebring and Northern Meteor Find Favour
Gold Coast – Our promising young sires Sebring and Northern Meteor have both started their stud careers in promising fashion with several smart metropolitan winners each and their stock were again popular at the 2013 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
Sebring had 15 yearlings average $114,667, his top seller a lovely colt from stakes-winner Bella Corona that made $260,000 for Fig Tree Thoroughbreds when knocked down to Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club also weighed in paying $200,000 for a Sebring colt from Spirit of the Nile offered by Lyndhurst Stud Farm.
Northern Meteor had 13 yearlings sell at an average $109,615, his top seller a filly from Charlety Star that made $225,000 for Willow Park Stud when knocked down to Emirates Park.
Also popular the half-brother to Group I winner Nechita from Artistique that made $200,000 for Edinglassie Stud knocked down to Magic Millions as agent.
