Timely Easter Update
Adelaide – Winning his second race at Morphettville on Saturday was the Mark Kavanagh trained gelding Maussane, whose yearling half-brother by More Than Ready (USA) will be offered at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale next week by Widden Stud.
By Encosta de Lago from Provence, four year-old Maussane appreciated the step out to 2028 metres to power clear and win by three-quarters of a length.
A $700,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Widden draft, Maussane is a half-brother to Hong Kong based stakes-winner Admiration and is one of two foals to race that are both winners for stakes-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Provence.
Her current yearling will be offered as Lot 273 and is a lovely near black colt very similar in appearance to his sire More Than Ready.
