Stradbroke Third for Streama
High class Stratum mare Streama is already a dual Group I winner of the ATC Flight Stakes and Australian Oaks and may well be on the track of a third win at the elite level.
Resuming from a short let up in the Group I BRC Stradbroke Handicap at Eagle Farm on Saturday, the Guy Walter trained four year-old showed all of her customary zip to finish a bold third behind Linton and Buffering in the $1.3million sprint.
She now looks well placed for the Group I Tattersalls Tiara run over the same course and distance on June 22.
Stratum was also in the money in several other stakes races on Saturday with two year-old filly Enquare running second in the Listed BRC Hampden Stakes and Upshot running third in the Listed ATC June Stakes at Randwick.
Stratum also featured at Sha Tin in Hong Kong where his three year-old gelding Access Years scored an impressive debut win for the John Size stable over 1200 metres.
A $70,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the draft of Amarina Farm, Access Years is the second winner for Group III winner Hootandance.
