Widden Stud Purchase $1.1million Graceful Girl
A brilliant winner of the Group I ATC Winterbottom Stakes, Nicconi’s brilliant sprinting mare Graceful Girl was initially passed in at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale on Thursday evening, but will now head to the Valley of Champions after Widden Stud negotiated a successful sale with her owners Bob and Sandra Peters.
Graceful Girl was sold for $1.1million making her the ninth mare sold for seven figures at the Chairman’s Sale and the second of those elite mares going to Widden joining Dosh.
A homebred for the Peters family, Graceful Girl is one of three Group winners from exceptional producing Group II winner Avenida Madero, the dam of nine foals to race all winners.
With an outcross Black Type pedigree, completely free of Danehill blood, Graceful Girl is going to be an outstanding acquisition for Widden.
