Widden Stud’s champion sire Zoustar has had a hugely successful Magic Millions Yearling Sale and finished on a high with a $1million colt from In Times of War sold by Baramul Stud during Saturday night’s final Book 1 session.

The fifth individual million dollar Zoustar yearling at this sale, he was the first colt and was snapped up by James Harron for his colts partnership.

“We were getting to the end of it, but we love this colt. A beautiful horse with a lovely pedigree and we’re very happy to get him,” Harron said.

“We’ve got a very short list (at this sale) and he was one of them. We think he’s outstanding, so it’s a good result.”

He is the third foal of In Times of War, a metro winning Streey Cru (IRE) daughter of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Military Rose, who was also a multiple Group winner.

In Times of War had a Snitzel filly last spring and was then sent back to Zoustar.

Zoustar finished Book 1 with 30 yearlings selling at an average $628,667.
