Brilliant Doomben Win for Sebring Filly

 In 2013

Exciting young sire Sebring keeps churning out the winners with astute Brisbane trainer Robert Heathcote producing his latest to salute in highly impressive filly Sea Red.

Resuming from a spell, Sea Red showed the benefit of a break from racing when powering right away to win over 1350 metres at Doomben by four and a half lengths.

Placed at one of her three previous runs before being sent to the paddock, Sea Red has returned a much stronger filly.

A $52,000 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale purchase from the draft of Widden Stud, Sea Red is the first winner for Kunga, a half-sister by Jeune (GB) to Group III winner Baughurst and Nancy Eleanor, the dam of More Than Ready’s Golden Slipper winner Phelan Ready.

Sea Red is the 23rd winner this season for Sebring, who has a big draft of 40 stunning yearlings for Magic Millions making him the most represented sire at the Gold Coast in January.
