Don’t Miss This Classic Update

 In 2013

An impressive win at Kembla on Saturday for improving four year-old Mezzanotte has proven a timely update for his yearling three-quarter brother by Dane Shadow that will be offered by Widden Stud as Lot 383 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale on Monday.
The Tim Martin trained Mezzanotte made it two wins from three starts when scoring a powerful victory over 2000 metres as a well backed favourite.
The Strada gelding was bred and retained to race by Alan Bell and John Symond, who shared in the ownership of his sire.
Mezzanotte is the first winner for his dam Midnight Queen (NZ), with both wins coming after the catalogue went to print.
A juvenile winner by Carnegie (IRE), Midnight Queen is a full sister to Group I winner Perlin and half-sister to stakes-winner Almodovar from a big Black Type family featuring numerous stakes-winners.
To be offered as Lot 383, the colt from Midnight Queen is by proven group I producing sire Dane Shadow.
