Four Winners in Four Days for Rebel Dane
It’s been a long time since brilliant filly Fireburn won the Golden Slipper and her sire Rebel Dane has had to soldier through a long period in the commercial wilderness, but with his biggest and best ever foal crop just turned three the tide may be on the turn.
Rebel Dane relocated to Widden in the wake of Fireburn’s success and covered 111 mares at a fee of $27,500 in 2022 and the foals born the following year are now 3YOs.
Rebel Dane has posted four winners in the past four days and the latest of those winners is the Gavin Bedggood trained three year-old gelding Fervently.
He was sent to the post a short priced favourite in the 1100m maiden at Moe on Thursday and duly scored by half a length with Jamie Mott in the saddle. Fervently and the second placed Big Kapow cleared their rivals by seven lengths in a clear indication they were a class above.

Fervently was retained to race by his breeder and is bred on the same cross as Golden Slipper winner Fireburn as he is also out of a mare by So You Think.
Fervently is the first winner for Delusions, a metro winning grand-daughter of stakes-winner Besame Mucho.
