Proven stakes producer Subtitle – purchased by one of Jacquinot’s part-owners to send to the new Widden-based stallion this coming breeding season – has topped the Inglis Digital May (Late) Sale, realising $225,000.

Offered by Coolmore and knocked down to Castle Bloodstock, the daughter of champion sire Fastnet Rock was purchased on behalf of Lindsay Maxsted, who enjoyed the thrills of Jacquinot’s racetrack career and is now looking to enjoy his career in the stallion barn.

“I’ve stayed in the ownership and wanted a high-quality mare to send to him first up and I think Subtitle is exactly that mare,’’ Maxsted said.

“You can always find these quality mares on Inglis Digital, every sale there is something there and I’m just thrilled to be able to buy Subtitle.

“She’s been a great producer already, with Rock a Group III winner and Group I placed and Femme Fireball a stakes horse too so I’m confident she will continue to produce the right type of horse with a Jacquinot mating.’’

A dual Group I winner at three taking the ATC Golden Rose and MRC CF Orr Stakes at WFA, Jacquinot stands this spring at a fee of $33,000.
