Proven Sebring Success

 In 2016

Proven Thoroughbreds have already enjoyed juvenile success this season with brilliant stakes-placed Sebring filly Candika and enjoyed a trip to the winner’s circle at Kembla on Monday with another of his offspring in exciting debut winner Argent D’Or.

An athletic chestnut gelding reminiscent of his sire in appearance, the Joe Pride trained Argent D’Or flew home from back in the field to post a short neck win in the 1000 metre maiden beating older horses.

A $150,000 Magic Millions purchase for Proven Thoroughbreds from the Raheen Stud draft, Argent D’Or is the second winner for stakes-placed Danehill Dancer (IRE) mare La Gouloue, a half-sister to Group I winners Ofcourseican and Gimmethegreenlight as well as stakes-placed Sebring sprinter Longma.

Argent D’Or is the 14th two year-old winner this season for Sebring, who stands at a fee of $77,000.
