The first stakes-winner for Your Song when taking out the Listed SAJC Dequetteville Stakes earlier this year, talented filly Split Lip showed she would be a force this spring when charging home for a fast finishing second in the Listed VRC Cap d’Antibes Stakes at Flemington on Saturday.

The Will Clarken trained filly was beaten a short neck and raced as though she will appreciate a lot further than the 1100 metres of this early spring scamper.

Split Lip is the first winner for Little Less Lip, a daughter of Victoria Derby winner Blevic from the family of his Group I winner Blevvo.

Your Song also posted an impressive winner at Doomben where three year-old filly Girl in a Million posted her third win from five starts.
