Stakes Double for Sebring
Two year-old Sebring filly Seannie led home a stakes trifecta for Widden Stud sires in the Listed WATC Supremacy Stakes at Ascot in Perth on Saturday.
A stylish debut winner at Ascot in October, the Simon Miller trained Seannie resumed from a spell to score a dominant two and a half length win in the 1000 metre dash over Sebring gelding Keeper Keen with Your Song gelding Sound Check in third place.
With two easy wins in as many starts, Seannie is now favourite for the upcoming Group II WATC Karrakatta Plate.
Bred and retained to race by Cape Falls Thoroughbreds, Seannie is the best of three winners from unraced Choisir mare Uncanny Choice, a half-sister to stakes-winner Dubleanny from the family of champion filly November Rain.
Seannie is the 25th stakes-winner for Sebring, who sired his 24th earlier in the day at Flemington when Turbo Miss won the Group III VRC Frances Tressady Stakes.
