Stakes-Winner Sold by Widden

 In 2015

The Listed SAJC WH Wylie Handicap at Morphettville on Saturday was won by talented Commands mare The Messina Nymph, a modest $30,000 Inglis Classic purchase for her trainer Tony McEvoy from the Widden Stud draft.

A two-time stakes-winner last season, The Messina Nymph was having her second run back from a spell and powered clear to win the 1100 metre sprint by nearly two lengths.

A model of consistency, she has won six races and placed four times from 12 starts earning over $286,000 in prizemoney.

A half-sister to Champion Singapore Sprinter Why Be, The Messina Nymph is one of six winners from Charybdis, a Royal Academy (USA) daughter of stakes-winner Balm in Gilead.
