The Listed ATC Rosebud Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on Saturday featured a classy field of progressive three year-olds and Trapeze Artist colt Introducing running a huge race to lead all the way before being caught late by race favourite Tiz Invincible.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Introducing had the benefit of two recent trials and was well rated in front by Tim Clark before going down by a long head.

“Introducing raced very true and dug in for the fight late in the race which was very pleasing to see,” said Adrian Bott.

Introducing looks set for a great campaign and has the overall record of a win and a second from just four starts with nearly $90,000 in the bank.

A $380,000 Inglis Easter purchase for the James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership from the Edinburgh Park draft, Introducing is a half-brother to $3.1million earning stakes-winner Eleven Eleven and stakes-placed War Memorial being the fourth winner from good producer Smokin’ Alice (USA), who sadly passed away last year.

Introducing looms as a future stakes-winner for Trapeze Artist, who stands at a fee of $55,000 this spring.
