The big results keep coming at Magic Millions for Widden Stud with a powerful chestnut Zoustar colt from Lone fetching $800,000 on Thursday to the bid of James Harron Bloodstock.

Bred by Widden Stud as was his mother, the colt is the first foal of unraced Lone, a half-sister by Sepoy to stakes-winners Gai’s Choice (dam of stakes-winner I Like It Easy), Atmospherical and Peron.

It’s a prolific winning family that has also produced Group I winning sprinter Eagle Falls.

Lone has missed the last two seasons, but was covered by Trapeze Artist last spring.

James Harron has bought some outstanding colts from this sale ring including Capitalist and King’s Legacy, so will be hoping this racy youngster can follow suit.

Widden Stud’s other top seller on Thursday was also the best result so far at this sale for our much missed sire Sebring.

His colt from Group III placed Snitzel mare Miss Wonderland sold to China Horse Club/ Newgate for $500,000.

Sebring’s young sire son Supido had another good result with a colt from stakes-placed Intuit selling to Mick Price Racing for $180,000. He is a half-brother to two winners including Group III winner Runway Star from the family of Champion 2YO filly Fashions Afield.
