In a market dominated by off the track fillies and race mares at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale, proven producer Enbihaar proved a hot and timely item and was duly snapped up for $1.6 million in foal to champion sire Zoustar.

A Group II winner by Magnus, Enbihaar is the dam of Group II winning three year-old filly Too Darn Lizzie, who sold for $2.4million earlier in the night and her weanling colt by Too Darn Hot (GB) topped the Inglis Weanling Sale on Tuesday when fetching $775,000 for Widden Stud.

Enbihaar was bought by Yulong purchasing as Z Zhijun, HEBEI PROVINCE CHINA and they were also the purchaser for Widden Stud’s other million dollar offering Grinzinger Belle (NZ), who sold for $1.45million.

Trained by Danny O’Brien, Grinzinger Belle is a multiple Group winner of over $800,000 in prizemoney by Shamexpress, the sire of the world’s best sprinter Ka Ying Rising.

Grinzinger Belle was a modest $32,000 Karaka Book 2 purchase from the Windsor Park draft for her owner John Wheeler and has proven a fabulous investment.

Zoustar also put his stamp on the sale with his Group winning daughter Mumbai Muse selling for $1.8million.

A half-sister to Aussie bred Japanese stakes-winner Jazz Etude, Mumbai Muse was trained by Michael Freedman and raced by Woppitt Bloodstock and partners that included Kia Ora Stud, who elected to buy out the other owners.

Mumbai Muse was originally a $525,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Michael Freedman Racing / Julian Blaxland Bloodstock from the Coolmore draft, but has a strong connection to Kia Ora Stud as they bred and sold her mother Mumbai Rock.

Mumbai Rock went through the 2013 Inglis Easter Sale where she was bought by James Bester for $1.55million, so it’s no surprise she can produce a good type!
