Winning Debut for Sebring Blueblood
A half-sister to Champion Two and Three Year Old Colt and now leading sire Star Witness, royally bred Sebring filly Lady Lupino was easy in the market when making her debut at Moonee Valley on Friday night but led all the way for a tenacious victory over 1000 metres.
Retained to race by her breeders, Lady Lupino is trained by Danny O’Brien, who trained her famous half-brother to Group I wins in the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes and VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes.
Lady Lupino is also a half-sister to Group III winner Nostradamus and is the seventh winner from eight to race from brilliant Group III winning sprinter Leone Chiara, a sibling to Group II winners Chinchilla Rose and Ferocity.
Leone Chiara has no yearling for the sales but did produce a Starcraft colt this spring that is a full brother to Star Witness.
