Sebring Squares Up at Ten All

 In 2013

Our dynamic duo Sebring and Northern Meteor are going at it neck and neck in the battle to be leading first season sire by winners and it was Sebring’s turn today to answer serve when his two year-old filly Shebrings Diamonds saluted at Gosford.

Improving from her debut fourth behind Northern Meteor colt Zoustar at Canterbury last month, the Angela Davies trained filly was sent out favourite and forged clear to beat older horses to win the 1100 metre fillies and mares maiden by more than a length.

A $200,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Widden Stud for Ronstel Thoroughbreds, Shebrings Diamonds is the first winner for winning Rory’s Jester mare Miss Lucille, a grand-daughter of multiple Group I winning sprinter Special.

Miss Lucille went back to Sebring in 2011 and produced a full brother to Shebrings Diamonds last spring.

Shebrings Diamonds is the tenth winner for Sebring and again puts him on a par with his barn mate Northern Meteor, who posted his tenth winner at Warwick Farm yesterday.

Sebring stands this spring at a fee of $38,500, while Northern Meteor is at $27,500.
