$900,000 Colt for Zoustar
The progeny of Zoustar have been in hot demand at Magic Millions with his best result so far coming on Friday when a colt from Saga of the Storm made $900,000 for Newhaven Park to the bid of Ardross Bloodstock.
“As a stallion we have a lot of respect for Zoustar in the northern hemisphere and I admire Sheikh Fahad taking him up there. I think they are quality horses and it’s showing down here as well,” said UK based agent Jamie Piggott of Ardoss Bloodstock.
“This colt is racy and I think he will be a better horse in a couple of months. He is a three-quarter in blood to Queen Kay, who came out and won really well the other day. The mother was a winner at two.”
The star colt was bred by Emmanuel Bloodstock and is the first foal of Real Saga mare Saga of the Storm, who is a half-sister to this season’s talented Zoustar two year-old Queen Kay, winner of the $125,000 Aquis Gold Pearl Quality at the Gold Coast last weekend.
With one more session of Book 1 to come Zoustar has had 25 yearlings sell at a average $272,000.
