Smart Juvenile Debut Winner for Stratum

As a full brother to Group III winner I’m All The Talk and good metropolitan winner Straturbo, it’s not surprising to see that two year-old colt Hold Your Tongue has plenty of the family ability.

Prepared by Lou and Dion Luciani, Hold Your Tongue made a winning debut at Ascot on Saturday when forging clear to win by a length over 1100 metres as favourite.

A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Bellerive Stud draft, Hold Your Tongue was bred by Teeley Assets and is the third winner from three foals to race from Weekend Gossip, a half-sister by Hussonet (USA) to multiple Group I winner Mentality.

Weekend Gossip has certainly gotten off to a flying start at stud as Straturbo, I’m All the Talk and Hold Your Tongue are her first three foals and all by Stratum.

Stratum is having an outstanding season with 75 winners of $3.9 million headed by seven individual stakes-winners.
