Promising Start for Star Witness

The first yearlings by our exciting young sire Star Witness hit the sale ring at the Gold Coast at Magic Millions on Wednesday, the dual Group I winner achieving his best result with a filly from Stage Beauty that made $180,000.

Consigned for sale by Southern Cross Breeders, the stylish chestnut filly was purchased by RMA Bloodstock.

Other good results during the first session for Star Witness were a powerful bay colt from Sparkling Now that fetched $160,000 for Kambula Stud when bought by Star Thoroughbreds and another very similar colt from Who’s There that made $150,000 for Bell River Thoroughbreds when secured by astute Warwick Farm trainer David Pfieffer.

Also $110,000 for a colt from Shoptalk offered by Rosemont Stud and bought by Magic Millions as agent and $100,000 for a colt from Wild Soiree (USA) offered by Willow Park Stud and bought by Kennewell Racing.
