First Foals for Southport Tycoon

At the Widden Victoria stallion parade last Friday, Southport Tycoon was the star of the show and the dual Group I winning son of champion sire Written Tycoon has his first foal arriving this spring and breeders are happy with what they are seeing.

Ross Ferris of Two Bays Farm could not be happier with his Southport Tycoon filly that is the first foal for his young stakes-winning mare Regal Vow.

“Absolute belter of a first foal,” he said.

“This filly is all class.”

Martin Falvey is likewise thrilled with his colt, the second foal from Excursions, a Street Boss (USA) daughter of Group III winner Detours.

“Fantastic colt. Great shape and good muscle. We’re extremely happy with him.”

Southport Tycoon covered 127 mares last spring and is priced at $33,000 .
