Le Chef Salutes at Gold Coast

Gold Coast – Cementing his Magic Millions 2YO Classic credentials with a stylish win at the Gold Coast on Saturday was Exceed and Excel gelding Le Chef, a $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft.
Fifth on debut to Magic Millions 2YO Classic favourite Wicked Intent in November when slowly away, the Darryl Hansen trained youngster broke his maiden last start with a facile win at Ipswich and kept up the good work today.
He led throughout and surged clear to win a competitive open juvenile event over 1200 metres by a length for Luke Tarrant.
Le Chef is the third winner from three foals to race from Group I placed Testa Rossa mare Red for Lou.
